Ruby Barclay
CYCW
Hi, I’m Ruby (she/her). Since 2016, I’ve been honoured to walk alongside children, youth, and families. I am continually inspired by the creativity, courage, and determination that young people and their families demonstrate in the face of adversity and injustice.

My practice is grounded in meeting each person where they are at, listening deeply to their story, and creating safe, inclusive spaces where connection, play, and meaningful activities support growth and wellness. I approach each child and youth with dignity, accessibility, and a commitment to collaboration with families and community partners.
Areas of Specialty

I specialize in offering outreach services with children, youth, and families experiencing the following: the child welfare system, including foster care and aging out; the youth justice system; substance use; mental health and wellness; neurodiversity; Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD); social and life skills development; relationships; adverse life experiences and violence, both interpersonal and systemic; grief and loss; as well as individual and group-based work.
I am grateful to live and work on the traditional, unceded territory of the Snuneymuxw people. I enjoy being outdoors, baking, spending time with loved ones, and supporting community initiatives.
